R/ The Roman road was the model of the road used by Rome for the structuring of its Empire. The road network was used by the army in the conquest of territories and thanks to it large troops could be mobilized at a speed never seen before. In the economic aspect, it played a fundamental role, since the transport of goods was remarkably rationalized. Roads also had a great influence on the spread of the new culture and on the spread of Romanization throughout the Empire.
